Trade
Scan instruments, inspect market data and move into manual execution from the trading workspace.
Trade is the main execution workspace. It combines the market selector, chart, order book, recent trades, lower activity tabs, and the right-hand trading panel in one operating view.

- Market overview and market switchers
- Chart
- Order book
- Recent trades
- Right trading panel
- Lower activity tabs
Typical Trade Workspace Flow
- Select the market you want to trade.
- Read the chart, maps, order book, and recent trades together before choosing the order type.
- Configure the order in the right trading panel.
- Submit the order, or continue setup if onboarding is incomplete.
- Monitor positions, orders, fills, alerts, and strategies from the lower activity tabs.
Use this page to understand how the trading workspace is organised, then continue to Maps for map-specific behaviour and Order Types for execution details.
Market Overview
The market overview opens when you click the token itself in the market list, and it is where you build context before placing size.
What you can do here:
- Switch between Perps and Spot.
- Change market-list density with Full or Compact view when available.
- Use the Search Bar to find markets quickly when it is available in your layout.
- Use the top quick-market strip to switch instruments faster.
In Full view, the market list can show columns such as:
- Market
- Price
- Change
- Volume
- Funding
- OI
Leverage badges such as 40X, 25X, and 20X show the available max leverage at a glance. Tags such as XYZ, CASH, and HL identify market families shown in Borsa.

Chart
Use the chart to understand structure before you send an order, and to set alerts directly from the chart with a double-click or, on mobile, a double-tap.
When it helps:
- Checking trend, range, and recent price behaviour.
- Finding areas where a limit order may make more sense than a market order.
- Seeing working levels in context if chart overlays are enabled.
What to watch:
- The chart gives execution context, but risk and PnL are not driven by chart visuals alone. See Trading Fundamentals for which prices matter operationally.
- If chart overlays are enabled in Settings, the chart can also show Fills, Size and Price Labels, Open Orders, Position Levels, and Alerts. That makes it easier to connect the chart to current execution state.
Maps
Borsa can also show Maps on the chart for a more granular, depth-style view of concentrated activity around current price. Available map modes include SL / TP, Order Book, Liquidations, and Combined.
What you can do here:
You can switch between None, SL / TP, Order Book, Liquidations, and Combined. You can also enable Show size on hover and adjust Bar opacity, Colors, Min size, and Precision when those controls are available in the current layout.
What hover can show:
Depending on the mode, hover can show the notional quantity at the selected level, its USD value, the number of contributing positions or levels, and the cumulative amount around that level.
How to inspect a level:
Right-click over a map band and choose Inspect map to open the detailed level breakdown for that price area in SL / TP, Order Book, and Liquidations. In Combined, use hover to read the signed bucket pressure and cumulative pressure curve instead, because Combined does not open a bucket-level detail table. The detail table can be sorted directly in the map view, and the dedicated Maps page covers screenshots and mode-specific examples.
For a mode-specific explanation of what each map shows and how to read it, continue to Maps.
Order Book
Use the order book when execution price and visible liquidity matter.
Why traders use it:
- To see the displayed depth around the current market.
- To judge whether a limit order has a sensible resting level.
- To decide whether the market looks thin enough that a market order or larger chunk may move through levels quickly.
If Orderbook Click Sets Size is enabled in Settings, interaction with the book can update the size input in the order panel.
Recent Trades
Use recent trades to read the pace of actual prints.
This area is useful when you want to know:
- Whether execution is moving quickly or slowly right now.
- Whether recent prints support a more aggressive or more patient entry.
- Whether the market feels active enough for the order type you are considering.
Recent trades are especially useful immediately before a market order, a fast limit entry, or a strategy configuration that favours completion over price control.
Order Flow Meter
Below the prints, the Flow meter summarises taker (aggressor) volume over a rolling window. Use the window selector (15s to 5m) to change the period; recent fills are weighted more heavily than older ones, so the meter responds quickly without jumping when a trade ages out.
On perpetual markets, Flow splits into two bars so you can tell *new positioning* apart from *unwinding*. Colour always means position type — green = long, red = short (not buy/sell), so the left/green side is long-side flow and the right/red side is short-side flow on both bars:
- Open — longs opening (green) versus shorts opening (red). This is where fresh conviction is going.
- Close — longs closing / taking profit (green) versus shorts covering (red). This is who is unwinding.
The number at the end of each bar is that row's share of total window volume, so you can see at a glance whether the tape is driven mostly by new positions or by closes. For example, a green-heavy Open bar with a green-heavy Close bar means longs are both opening fresh and taking profit, while the shorts (red) sit quiet. Hover either bar for the exact long/short percentages.
On spot markets — or when the live market-data feed cannot classify open versus close — Flow falls back to a single buy (green) versus sell (red) pressure bar.
Lower Activity Tabs
The lower activity tabs are where you monitor what happened after the order decision.
- Balances shows available account balances.
- Positions shows active position state and can expose Share PnL next to PnL (ROE) for active positions. See Portfolio.
- Open Orders shows currently working orders.
- Order History shows historical order activity and state changes.
- Fill History shows executed fills.
- Alerts shows and manages price alerts. See Alerts.
- Strategies shows strategy activity and status. See Strategies.
These monitoring categories overlap with Portfolio, but in Trade they stay beside the chart and execution panel.
Right Trading Panel
The right trading panel is where manual execution happens.
The manual panel can show:
- MARKET for immediate execution.
- LIMIT for price-controlled resting orders.
- SCALE for distributing multiple orders across a range.
- TWAP for splitting one total order into smaller executions over time.
In PRO, the right-hand panel can also show SCALE and TWAP for staged execution.
Common controls include:
- Long / Short to set direction.
- Leverage Badge to view and adjust leverage.
- Available for collateral or buying-power context.
- Current Position for the selected market.
- Size and Value for order sizing.
- Advanced for extra execution settings.
If setup is incomplete, the panel can show Continue Setup instead of the final execution button. Go back to Get Started with Borsa in that case.
The account area in the lower-right section includes Deposit and Withdraw controls when shown in the current layout.
For the order-type decision itself, continue to Order Types.
